Ms. Gabriela Collado
Dear parents,
Happy Literacy Week!!! We are so excited to be celebrating a week all about reading. Please take some extra time this week to read with your children and help them foster their own love for reading. 

This Friday is the Color Run. We are looking for volunteers from each homeroom to help during the Color Run. If you are interested in volunteering or bringing in Gatorade donations, please click the link below for your child’s homeroom class:

Also, please remember to check your child’s agenda each day! Our class is working really hard to build our agenda-writing skills and we are making great strides in our understanding of our responsibilities as students. Please encourage your children to check their agenda’s daily.

Here is our plan for the week:
Monday:
• Twin Day – We had so much fun dressing up with our friends today!  Twin Day was truly a success!
• Math homework: finish Math packet from last week.
o Please remember that our schedule shifted a bit last week and that we will continue to work on the math packet students received last Monday. The packet will be collected on Wednesday, and new math homework will go out then.
Tuesday:
• Pajama Day – Remember to bring in your favorite bedtime story!  Also, please make sure your children are wearing their regular school shoes, so that everyone’s toes stay safe on the playground!
• Math homework: IStation for 30 minutes.
Wednesday:
• Word Parade – Students will come dressed as a word for the Word Parade  (I will be dressed as an extraterrestrial)
• Math Homework: Practice and Homework pg 159
Thursday:
• Wacky Day – Students should come to school dressed as wacky as they can imagine!
• Math homework: IStation for 30 minutes.
Friday:
• Color Run ($10) – Students participating in the Color Run should come to school wearing WHITE.
• Math homework: Practice and Homework pg 171 & 177.
o I promise these two pages are not double the math homework! Each page is extra short, so it is a great opportunity for students to have some extra practice for each of these lessons. 

Have a wonderful week, and remember to read lots of fun books! 
Love,
Ms. Collado
